Project Overview:

In the first construction phase of a large-scale hydrogen production plant in Thierbach, SKL Engineering GmbH, as general planner, planned the central plant – including the electrolysis and energy storage. The plant comprises an electrical connected load of 100 MW (380 kV), an electrolysis capacity of 56 MW and a battery storage facility with an output of 44 MW and a capacity of 255 MWh.

Special project success: The approval according to the Federal Immission Control Act (BImSchG) was successfully granted.

Client: H&R Ölwerke Schindler GmbH
Location: Hamburg-Neuhof, Germany

Project Overview:

SKL Engineering supported the construction of a 5 MW PEM hydrogen electrolysis plant for H&R Ölwerke Schindler GmbH at their Hamburg-Neuhof site. The plant generates hydrogen and oxygen from water using electrical energy. Mechanical completion and transition to the testing phase were achieved on August 31, 2017.

Project Overview:

As part of the revamp and capacity expansion of the existing GZA unit at PCK in Schwedt, approximately 650 pipelines and four columns were replaced during a defined shutdown period of just 14 days. SKL supported the project comprehensively – from precise as-built documentation and planning to on-site implementation.

As part of a planned capacity increase at PCK Schwedt, the convection section of the Visbreaker furnace was expanded and the air preheating system was adapted. Execution took place within a tightly scheduled 14-day shutdown window. SKL was involved throughout all project phases – from feasibility and simulation to on-site implementation.

Project Overview:

As part of this project, the media pipelines for Main Field Piping Systems 1 and 2 were comprehensively renewed and reorganized. The modernization of three distribution halls (in accordance with WHG regulations) was also carried out, along with the construction of a new central sub-distribution station.

Numerous field and cavern site pipelines were renewed for crude oil, fresh water (seawater), brine, and well water (blanket).
